Passion in Christ

I promised you the poem I did at Family Camp talent night, so here it is.

Yes I have to admit its a morbid topic for a talent night, but I wrote it from the studies we had of which the topic was "Days of Grace". 

Most of this poem came up in group discussion or the studies themselves. Many of us were truly touched by the studies so in a way I wrote it for them. 

Passion in Christ

What is our passion?

What is our joy?

Our passion is hidden

Let us show it

Let us shine our light

It’s time to make it bright

Bright with a personal passion

We know the facts

Yet we forget

To tell it as our story

As it truly is

Let us show our passion

Not just the facts

Let us tell the story

Of what it means to us

So those around us

Will see that faith

Is more than facts

It’s a relationship worth having

That Jesus is a friend

Not someone who tells us

What we have to do

O head you reader

Where has thy passion gone?

You tell the facts

Yet where’s the passion gone

Where’s your deep love

The love to tell the story

The love to tell YOUR story

To share your faith to all

So renew your passion

O people

Tell the facts

With your story

Let us find our first love back

Renew your passion O people

O your love I don’t see

Show me you love

Show me you passion

I miss it dear people

Show me that you

Like me

Love this Saviour

O show me you love him

I don’t see it

Where has your light gone

Show me your light

I know it’s in your heart

Show me your passion

O people

Let’s join closer once more

Let you light shine

Let us unit once again

Let us strive to hold

What we have learnt this week

Let us hold to grace

Shine it forth with passion

Our Saviour had a passion

For this word – Grace

So let us be

Like our Saviour

Having a passion for grace

To shine forth this grace

Just as our Saviour did

Shine O people

My brothers and sisters In Christ

Let us shine with passion

This blessed word – Grace

Let us commit to serving

The one who saved us all

Be passionate in telling

With such a great passion

We O people are saved

So we to need this passion

Let’s no longer be indifferent

We need our passion back

Our heart is hardly in it

Open you heart to the passion

The passion that God had

So much passion

That He cared

To send His son to us

Into glory let us shine

Forevermore and evermore

Let us shine

That there passion may shine forth, that they may be not able to hold back there joy in Christ.

Every church through the years is preserved through the prayers of the saints and the power of the Holy Spirit.
