I promised you the poem I did at Family Camp talent night, so here it is.
Yes I have to admit its a morbid topic for a talent night, but I wrote it from the studies we had of which the topic was "Days of Grace".
Most of this poem came up in group discussion or the studies themselves. Many of us were truly touched by the studies so in a way I wrote it for them.
Passion in Christ
What is our passion?
What is our joy?
Our passion is hidden
Let us show it
Let us shine our light
It’s time to make it bright
Bright with a personal passion
We know the facts
Yet we forget
To tell it as our story
As it truly is
Let us show our passion
Not just the facts
Let us tell the story
Of what it means to us
So those around us
Will see that faith
Is more than facts
It’s a relationship worth having
That Jesus is a friend
Not someone who tells us
What we have to do
O head you reader
Where has thy passion gone?
You tell the facts
Yet where’s the passion gone
Where’s your deep love
The love to tell the story
The love to tell YOUR story
To share your faith to all
So renew your passion
O people

Let us find our first love back

With such a great passion

So we to need this passion

To send His son to us
