Memories in the Making : Auckland!!!

Hello February!

Isn't it hard to believe we are in the second month of 2016 already?

Well this year has been full of many adventures already, the last weekend was just another.

In the wee hours if the morning

Arising from my bed

To a clock saying 3 AM

On the road by 4

January the 28 it was

Crisp the morning air

Soft the glow of street lights

Light my heart within

Breaky on the road

A bit of sleep here and there

Gazing at the landscape

So green and fresh around

Twelve hours later

Tired from the trip

Ariving safe and sound

Though hot and bothered

Excitement all around

Hugs and cries of welcome

Of to the river we went

To cool of in nature

A weekend full of fun

Food prep, dishers and surprises

Laughter all around

Sunshine in the sky

Sunshine on our faces

Celebration in the air

21 was the number

So food we had to prepare

Balloons to blow
People to entertain
Music to be played
Voices to unite in song
Thanking God for 21 years
Of this precious friend
Time flew
The time to go came
Why go to sleep we decided
So we hardly did
Singing into the night
Praising our Saviour for life
Into the night we walked
Along the country road
Gazing at the stars
Twinkling in the sky
Laughing aloud
Wishing time wouldn't fly
Saying last goodbyes
To bed at 1:30
Up again at 3:00
February it was
Out the door at four
Sleep goodbyes having been said
Into the dark
Under the stars
Asleep and happy
Back to my family
Back to my home
The place God has put me
